In exodus we hear of the blood of the lamb that was passed over the lentils of the doorway and the angel of death that was roaming the streets would pass over that house.
it was later talked about The Lamb, the sacrifice God laid down for our lives. here in Isaiah 53 we hear in more detail about our coming freedom. well the freedom that did come to all those that believe in Christ.
Isaiah 53:4-6 New Living Translation (NLT)
4 Yet it was our weaknesses he carried; it was our sorrows[a] that weighed him down. And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God, a punishment for his own sins! 5 But he was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed. 6 All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.
This was the suffering the pain that was put on the Son of God. It was by His blood we are set free from bondage. It was the fulfilled word and the fulfillment of the spoken decree of God when it was written to say
Isaiah 61 New Living Translation (NLT)
Good News for the Oppressed
The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.[a] 2 He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come,[b] and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. 3 To all who mourn in Israel,[c] he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.
it was the power and will of the Lord that those who have been bound by sin be set free by the Love of God and that Love that was spoken of at the very beginning of the world needed to take form, to take action, and it was only by the action of our savior the Son of God, Jesus Christ that we are able to be set free from our addiction to sin, that addiction to follow the culture of death.
John 1:1 says
John 1 New Living Translation (NLT)
Prologue: Christ, the Eternal Word
1 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He existed in the beginning with God. 3 God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. 4 The Word gave life to everything that was created,[a] and his life brought light to everyone. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.[b]
in the very darkness in the darkest pits of hell Christ's light shone deep and the darkness that was there to envelop the void that was called earth was also enveloped by the light of the word of God. Jesus Christ is that very word, the word made flesh incarnate and living among us.
10 He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. 11 He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. 12 But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. 13 They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.
that means that you and I are witnessing the very glory of God. when we wake up and see that sky that tree feel the wind against our face hear the laughter that comes from our husband or wife the joy of our children we come to see the glory of God. oh can we see the beauty of the Lord's creation the joy of seeing and fellowshipping in the glory of God. can you see the glory God has put in those of your family? because it is in them He resides. yes my friends it is in them the people around us whether we accept it or not that the Glory of God can be found. but do we take the time to see it? can we see the glory of our awe inspiring God in the lives of our loved ones?
This love this grace this glory we witness is what we see in a fraction of what the fullness is in what God says. This is why He came that in the midst of our pain and suffering we would be saved and redeemed by His love for us. That we recognized that we have a loving father. He was looking to give us hope in a dark world, we were bound and gaged not allowed to speak the name of Christ in freedom. There is a sad thing that we do not see for it says that God deserves all glory and honor but we don't give him worship in what he asks for why? because we look for our own ways and live our lives the way we want to and we can take and do what we want yes but if we don't acknowledge God than He will correct our bad ways of living and say, don't do that if you don't believe me then why does it say,
Lamentations 1 New Living Translation (NLT)
Sorrow in Jerusalem
“He has sent fire from heaven that burns in my bones. He has placed a trap in my path and turned me back. He has left me devastated, racked with sickness all day long.
14 “He wove my sins into ropes to hitch me to a yoke of captivity. The Lord sapped my strength and turned me over to my enemies; I am helpless in their hands.
15 “The Lord has treated my mighty men with contempt. At his command a great army has come to crush my young warriors. The Lord has trampled his beloved city[c] like grapes are trampled in a winepress.
16 “For all these things I weep; tears flow down my cheeks. No one is here to comfort me; any who might encourage me are far away. My children have no future, for the enemy has conquered us.”
it is a sad thing but it is because of Gods love that he corrects us it is by His love that we takes us off those wrong paths and He leads us into the paths of righteousness.
Proverbs 15:9-11 New Living Translation (NLT)
9 The Lord detests the way of the wicked, but he loves those who pursue godliness.
10 Whoever abandons the right path will be severely disciplined; whoever hates correction will die.
11 Even Death and Destruction[a] hold no secrets from the Lord. How much more does he know the human heart!
God does know the human heart heck as we just finished seeing God here knows all on death and destruction. Our God look to keep all his creation safe from sin and death, and why should he allow us creatures to just go our own way? there is no reason for it God is not a negligent parent like we see here in our lives our in our own homes. where the parents say " meh do what ever I'll let you go to your demise." that's a wicked parent but God says hey! no do not do that don't go there! do not act like that! your my child and as a child of the most High God you don't behave that way.
God loves us He is everywhere. as the psalmsist said
Psalm 139 New King James Version (NKJV)
God’s Perfect Knowledge of Man
For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David.
139 O Lord, You have searched me and known me. 2 You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. 3 You [a]comprehend my path and my lying down, And are acquainted with all my ways. 4 For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether. 5 You have [b]hedged me behind and before, And laid Your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high, I cannot attain it.
7 Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? 8 If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in [c]hell, behold, You are there. 9 If I take the wings of the morning, And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, 10 Even there Your hand shall lead me, And Your right hand shall hold me. 11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall [d]fall on me,” Even the night shall be light about me; 12 Indeed, the darkness [e]shall not hide from You, But the night shines as the day; The darkness and the light are both alike to You.
13 For You formed my inward parts; You [f]covered me in my mother’s womb. 14 I will praise You, for [g]I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well. 15 My [h]frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, The days fashioned for me, When as yet there were none of them.
God loves us He is everywhere. as the psalmist saidlove that is talked about comes from a God that loves us unconditionally, that looks to be our safety in out times of trouble. that knows our insides and outside better than we do and imbues us with His sprit and His glory. We get to know of this love by the living out of our lives and by that Love that was displayed for us on the cross of Calvary, we get to experience the truth and knowledge and depth of love for ourselves.
Romans 8 New King James Version (NKJV)
romans 8:33-39 (NKJV)
33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written:
“For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
that's right as a true love that can't be truly expressed except the way Christ has is truly a love story type of ending. it was because a all powerful, glory overflowing, all loving an all that is pure, all mighty warrior King who choose to look down on us with compassion grace, loving filled eyes and strong arms wrapped in justice and honor that He would see us destitute and stricken with Fear and say, "I love you and no matter how hard headed you are I will always love you now and forever more by my blood I purchase you back from sin and death and by my love I hold you close to my heart as I do my own son."
Isaiah 59:15-21 New King James Version (NKJV)
15 So truth fails, And he who departs from evil makes himself a prey.
The Redeemer of Zion
Then the Lord saw it, and [a]it displeased Him That there was no justice. 16 He saw that there was no man, And wondered that there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him. 17 For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, And a helmet of salvation on His head; He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, And was clad with zeal as a cloak. 18 According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, Fury to His adversaries, Recompense to His enemies; The coastlands He will fully repay. 19 So shall they fear The name of the Lord from the west, And His glory from the rising of the sun; When the enemy comes in like a flood, The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him.
20 “The Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” Says the Lord.
21 “As for Me,” says the Lord, “this is My covenant with them: My Spirit who is upon you, and My words which I have put in your mouth, shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your descendants, nor from the mouth of your descendants’ descendants,” says the Lord, “from this time and forevermore.”
